Beginner Training Program
Offered every 2nd Sunday of the month, 10 am to 4 pm
Group Session (Max 4): CAD 1,000 - 2,000/day/trainee (depending on the group size)
Private Session (Max 1): CAD 3,000/day/trainee
Additional dates can be accommodated for existing groups of 4 or private sessions
Hands-on training with live models is available for additional cost, all equipment provided

Foundation Skills:
Understanding ultrasound physics (sound waves, frequencies, resolution)
Knobology: what all the buttons do (gain, depth, focus)
Probe types & handling techniques (linear, curvilinear, phased array)
Core Clinical Modules:
Abdominal Ultrasound: liver, gallbladder, kidneys
OB/GYN Basics: early pregnancy, fetal heartbeat, uterus positioning, ovaries
Vascular Identification: Aorta, IVC, deep veins for DVT
Scanning Techniques:
Probe selection and orientation
Identification of basic anatomical structures (organs, blood vessels)
Interpreting key views (transverse vs longitudinal)
Image optimization

FAST
Cardiac and Lung POCUS: eFAST scan, IVC collapse, cardiac assessment, pneumothorax
Musculoskeletal (MSK): Identification of long bones, ultrasound guidance for closed reduction of fractures
Soft tissue assessment for foreign body, infections, abscess, tumors
Vascular Access: guiding IVs and central lines with ultrasound
Ocular assessment for retinal detachment and optic nerve
